Meet Dr. L’Bertrice Solomon

Outline map of North Carolina with a red location marker in the center

Dr. L'Bertrice Solomon is a wife, mother, and proud Johnston County neighbor who has dedicated her career to helping people live healthier, longer lives. As Chief Public Health Officer for Docs On Da Block, she works every day to bring healthcare to communities that too often get left behind, because she believes healthcare should be a right, not a privilege.

Dr. Solomon knows what it means to roll up her sleeves and get to work for her community. Her career has taken her from hospital wards to neighborhood health fairs, helping families access care, navigate complex systems, and build trust in their local providers.

Dr. Solomon is also a minister and a lifelong advocate for fairness, faith, and service. Guided by her belief that every child deserves opportunity and every family deserves dignity, she's running for the North Carolina House to make sure our government reflects those same values.

She lives by the words of James Baldwin:

"Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced."

For Dr. Solomon, that means facing tough issues from healthcare and education to jobs and justice and working together as a community to create lasting change for Johnston County and all of North Carolina.

We’re making a District 26 that’s better for everyone.

Access to Care.

Everyone deserves affordable and accessible care, and that starts with keeping rural hospitals open.

Economy

No family should struggle to eat or find a safe, affordable place to live. We must lower costs, expand access to healthy food, and increase affordable housing options.

Education

Fully fund public schools - not vouchers - and ensure smaller classes, fair discipline, and real resources for every student.
